Clinical Pilates Toowoomba
Not just another reformer Pilates class.
At Ebb & Flow Exercise Physiology in Toowoomba, I offer a supportive, one-on-one environment where clinical Pilates can help you regain control of your health. Whether you're dealing with pelvic health concerns, recovering from pain, or simply wanting to improve your mobility, I focus on giving you the tools and exercises you need to feel stronger and more balanced.
Improve pelvic health, relieve chronic pain, enhance posture and mobility
What is Clinical Pilates?
Clinical Pilates is a form of exercise that’s specifically designed for rehabilitation and health recovery.
Unlike large group Pilates classes that focus on general fitness, clinical Pilates tailors exercises to your individual needs and clinical concerns.
It’s an excellent way to move your body if you’re dealing with
pelvic floor dysfunction,
chronic pain
pregnancy niggles
postpartum recovery.
The thing I love most about clinical Pilates is that it’s low-impact, adaptable, and focused on restoring strength and mobility in a safe, controlled manner.
And it’s a great form of exercise for all levels from beginner to advanced.
My Specialised Services
How Clinical Pilates can help you
-
Pilates for Pelvic Health
Pelvic floor issues like incontinence, prolapse, or pelvic pain are more common than you might think but they don’t have to be a permanent part of your life.
Through clinical Pilates, I help you target and strengthen the muscles that support your pelvic region.
From you head to your toes.
This targeted and individualised approach not only improves pelvic floor function but also gives you the confidence and tools to manage symptoms safely and effectively.
-
Pilates for Persistent Pain
Living with chronic pain often means living in fear of movement. And no one wants that!
Clinical Pilates provides a gentle, supported and effective way to move without worsening pain.
By focusing on the full body, strengthening stabilising muscles, and improving range of movement, whether that means increasing or controlling it, clinical Pilates helps reset your body and brain to move with less pain and more confidence.
-
Pregnancy & Postpartum
Pregnancy and the postpartum period bring big changes to your body. Both literally and figuratively!
Clinical Pilates is a fantastic, low-impact way to keep your body strong and balanced during these times.
Through it’s supportive and low impact nature it can be an amazing way to build strength and stability in your body throughout the changes while pregnant and then during the fourth trimester, otherwise known as postpartum.
-
Posture & Biomechanics
Poor posture or imbalanced or restricted movement patterns can contribute to pain and other issues over time.
Using clinical Pilates and corrective exercise methods, I help you to move in and out of different postures and find a way to move that feels good in your body.
I always start every client with an assessment of their posture and movement, which allows me to create an individualised program designed to address your specific goals and challenges.
How I use clinical Pilates at Ebb & Flow
I create highly personalised Pilates plans
At Ebb & Flow, each client starts with a detailed assessment before starting their clinical Pilates sessions.
This gives me a full picture of your health and movement patterns, which allows me to design a program specifically for you.
And it’s a great opportunity to get to know each other!
I also want you to know that while there’s no such thing as TMI, I always want you to feel safe, listened to and ready, when sharing your story.
Because as women, I’m sure we’ve all been in situations with health providers who brush us off and make us feel small.
Working together in a health and wellness capacity is like building a friendship. It takes time to get to know each other and for me to fully understand your circumstances and your movement patterns.
It’s not about quick fixes—it’s about creating lasting change.
I use Pilates equipment in a way that suits every body
Pilates equipment is incredible!
When Joseph Pilates invented it several decades ago he knew what he was doing. And the design hasn’t changed much in that time.
The equipment I use in my clinic is specifically designed to provide adjustable resistance, making it ideal for strengthening and providing support for rehabilitation.
Through individualised Pilates exercise selection, I focus on reprogramming compensations by inhibiting overactive muscles and facilitating muscles that may have become weak or checked out.
And it’s all done in a way that makes your body feel safe, but challenged.
